Hyderabad: Prasad has launched a Premium Preview Theatre at its Hyderabad studio as part of its ongoing infrastructure expansion aimed at strengthening its post-production ecosystem.
Designed as a high-quality cinematic screening space, the facility will enable filmmakers, directors, producers and creative teams to review edits, conduct internal screenings and host exclusive previews in a theatre-like environment within the studio premises.
The preview theatre features immersive Dolby Atmos sound technology and a DCI-compliant native 4K Christie digital cinema projection system, offering filmmakers an accurate and high-quality viewing experience. The facility also includes acoustically optimised interiors, comfortable seating, a lobby area and supporting amenities for private screenings, media interactions and curated industry events.

The company said the launch forms part of a phased infrastructure upgrade initiative focused on enhancing end-to-end post-production capabilities.
As part of the initiative, Prasad has already upgraded its dubbing facilities with advanced recording systems, improved acoustic environments and enhanced monitoring capabilities aimed at delivering greater audio clarity and precision.
The company is also planning further upgrades across key studio facilities to create a future-ready post-production ecosystem.
In Chennai, the company continues to operate one of the world’s largest HDR grading suites, strengthening its presence in high-end post-production services.
Speaking on the development, Abhishek Prasad said the preview theatre was designed to provide filmmakers with an environment where films could be experienced exactly as intended, with accuracy and consistency throughout the creative process.
Founded in 1956 by legendary filmmaker L. V. Prasad, Prasad has worked on more than 30,000 films globally and offers services including film restoration, DI, HDR grading, Dolby Atmos mixing and VFX.
