Pratap Reddy a true torchbearer of TS: CM KCR
The Chief Minister said Pratap Reddy, as a newspaper editor, writer, researcher, had spread the Telangana language and literature all over and he was a true politico-social-literary torchbearer
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao recalled the services rendered by Telangana torchbearer late Suravaram Pratap Reddy on his 125th birth anniversary.
The Chief Minister said Pratap Reddy, as a newspaper editor, writer, researcher, had spread the Telangana language and literature all over and he was a true politico-social-literary torchbearer.
The Chief Minister praised Pratap Reddy for presenting history, social awareness and literary creativity in new angle and showcasing the greatness of Telangana all over the world with proper and tangible evidence. “The awareness brought out by Pratap Reddy through ‘Golkonda Patrika’ among people is inspirational,” he said.
He said due credit should be given to Pratap Reddy for bringing out the values behind the traditions and festivals and gave them scientific credence. Pratap Reddy should be praised for unveiling several aspects hitherto unknown from the Ramayana and for recording the Telugu people’s social history with proofs and evidence, he said.
Pratap Reddy took up the challenge that there were no scholars and poets in Telangana, and brought out a special edition titled “Golkonda Kavulu” and made the Telangana flag fly high in the literary world, the Chief Minister said.
He described Pratap Reddy as a true Telanganite and one who ignited Telangana spirit.
