Praveen Kumar condemns Congress remarks against Harish Rao

Hyderabad: BRS general secretary RS Praveen Kumar on Tuesday condemned the alleged remarks by Congress leaders against BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao, accusing him of performing black magic rituals. He demanded that the Congress leaders reply to the legal notice issued by Harish Rao and apologise to him as well as the Hindu community for their alleged irresponsible remarks.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here, Praveen Kumar said Congress leaders Addanki Dayakar, Sama Ram Mohan Reddy and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud made serious and unfounded allegations against Harish Rao and hurt the religious sentiments of many Hindus. He said visiting temples and offering prayers was an individual’s constitutional right.
“Are the Congress leaders performing occult rituals during their visits to temples? Where did Rahul Gandhi vanish for 52 days recently? Did he perform any black magic rituals? Why did Chief Minister Revanth Reddy perform a house-warming ceremony for his camp office at MCR HRD Institute at midnight? Was he accompanied by a tantric?” he asked.
Praveen Kumar said the Congress leaders were resorting to cheap politics by bringing religious practices into political discourse. He said Telangana, formed after the sacrifices of 1,300 people, should not be polluted by such remarks.
Meanwhile, BRSV leaders Srikant Mudiraj and Jangaiah, among others, lodged a complaint at the Osmania University police station, seeking legal action against Addanki Dayakar, Sama Ram Mohan Reddy, Medipally Satyam and other Congress leaders over the alleged remarks against Harish Rao. Several BRS leaders also filed complaints against the Congress leaders at multiple police stations across the State.
