Pregnant woman lodges complaint against husband over harrasment in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A pregnant woman approached the Attapur police alleging she was being harassed by her husband and sent out of the house on Wednesday.
She further alleged that she was sent to her maternal home by her husband who suspected that she would give birth to a girl child.
As per available information, the woman, Humera Begum (36), and her husband Mohd Akbar Khan already have two daughters. Now, she was again pregnant with their third child.
Akbar Khan left his pregnant wife and two children at her maternal home, thinking that she would have a girl child again. He allegedly also left their wedding gifts at his in-laws’ home.
The Attapur police are investigating.
