Siddipet: A video of pregnant women sitting on the floor at the Siddipet Government Hospital while waiting for their turn to consult a doctor went viral in the town on Tuesday.

Pregnant women who came to the hospital to consult doctors in the outpatient ward were forced to sit on the floor due to the lack of seating arrangements. Usually, pregnant women find it difficult to sit on the floor.

However, the women, who could not afford to visit private hospitals, had no option but to come to the Government Hospital. Since the hospital receives anywhere between 150 and 200 pregnant women every day, some of them were forced to wait and sit on the floor for a couple of hours.

The pregnant women urged the authorities to provide adequate seating arrangements on the hospital premises so that they would not have to face such difficulties.
