Premier Energies takes employee-centric measures to combat pandemic

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Premier Energies, a solar PV cells and module manufacturing company, has been taking several measures to support its employees in pandemic times.

The company introduced staggered shifts at its factory sites, one located at Annaram Village, Gummadidala and the other at Maheshwaram (M), Ranga Reddy District, Telangana. The company has a manpower of over 500 staff at its sites in total.

Premier’s headquarter has moved into complete work from home mode. The company enforced strict covid behaviour protocols by enforcing 100 per cent masks and social distancing on the shop floor as well as company transport.

The company has also conducted free testing for all its employees, labourers, and contractors. So far, all its employees have been tested.

In light of any employee testing positive for Covid- 19, Premier arranged isolation rooms. In addition, employees are being provided with nutritious home cooked food, timely medicine, and doctor consultancy at hand. In the event of need for hospitalisation, Premier has used its network for providing hospital beds to its employees.

To further support its employees, Premier introduced a comprehensive Covid-19 leave policy and interest free loans to meet with emergency medical expenses. The company is in advanced discussions with certain private health organisations to conduct vaccination drives for their employees.
