Prepare plans for AMRUT 2.0: Warangal Mayor

Warangal: Mayor Gundu Sudharani directed the officials to chalk out plans for the implementation of the AMRUT 2.0 and Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 under the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits. She held a review meeting with the representatives of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) at the GWMC headquarters here on Wednesday on the implementation of the newly introduced AMRUT 2.0 and Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0.
Issues related to solid waste management (SWM), e-procurement of the vehicles, potable water supply management, development of theme parks, water harvesting, construction of the community septic tanks and phasing out of the insanitary latrines were discussed at the meeting. The meeting also discussed the proposals to set up sewerage treatment plants (STPs) at the ponds and tanks.
Speaking at the meeting, the Mayor said that Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) must be prepared and sent to the government for the setting up of underground drainage (UGD) system in the city under AMRUT 2.0. She also directed the ASCI officials to prepare comprehensive plans for future programmes to be implemented. Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr Raji Reddy, ASCI Director Dr Srinivas Chari, Prof Malini Reddy, ASCI officials Rajmohan Reddy, Avinash, Om Prakash and others attended the meeting.
