Hyderabad: Presence of any Taliban in Hyderabad as was being alleged by BJP, was a failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government at the Centre to guard the borders, said Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy. He suggested that if the BJP government cannot guard the borders, it should handover the responsibility to Telangana government which was setting example for other in law and order maintenance. He also thanked BJP Madhya Pradesh in-charge M Muralidhar Rao for acknowledging the BJP’s failure in his bid to accuse the TRS government in the State.

Giving a piece of his mind to BJP leaders in the latter’s own language here on Friday, Jagadish Reddy said the BJP has mastered the art of false propaganda and spreading lies, but have failed to learn the mantra of development. He dared Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy to come out in open to show some evidence on funds released by the Centre and the amount misused by the State. He stated that the BJP government at the Centre was not giving any funds from Pakistan, but these were the taxes collected from different performing States.

“The Centre is not releasing the funds due to Telangana State through devolution of taxes. Instead, the BJP leaders keep claiming that the Centre was releasing large sums, but the State government is misusing them and stopping them from reaching the people. We are ready to show evidence for our claims, but is Kishan Reddy ready to prove his claims? He should prove that the Union government is releasing more funds that Telangana is eligble as per the tax devolutions. The BJP leaders are accustomed to praise Telangana government in the Parliament and speak against it before the media,” he said.

Terming the ‘Praja Ashirvada Yatra’ by the Union Minister as a ‘Cheating Yatra’, the Energy Minister demanded that Kishan Reddy fulfill all his promises made during the elections, before criticising the TRS government. “Leave alone your promises. What happened to the promise made by Prime Minister Modi to bring back the black money and distribute it among the poor?” he questioned. He stated that the BJP government at the Centre had copied the schemes like Rythu Bandhu launched by the TRS government, but had failed to implement them effectively across the country. He wondered if any BJP-ruled State was providing over Rs 2,016 pension to the beneficiaries under Aasara pensions.
