Preventive arrests in Karimnagar ahead of CM’s tour

Police took leaders of various political parties into preventive custody across the district ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to Choppadandi constituency. The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend developmental programmes and address a public meeting at Gumlapur.

Karimnagar: In the wake of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit, leaders of various political parties were taken into preventive custody across the district by the police on Thursday.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to take part in various developmental programmes in Choppadandi constituency and address a public meeting at Gumlapur.

Police took leaders of different political parties into preventive custody from last night.

BRS leader and former MLA Sunke Ravishankar was placed under house arrest at his residence in Burugupalli of Gangadhara mandal.

BRS leaders were taken into custody in Saidapur mandal as well. In Karimnagar town, a few CPM leaders were also taken into custody.
