Nidadavolu: A priest was brutally murdered by unidentified persons in the temple premises in Andhra Pradesh on Monday night.

When Kothalanka Sivanageswara Rao, priest of Sivalayam in Tadimalla village of Nidadavolu mandal in West Godavari district, did not return home even till midnight on Monday, his wife informed their family members about it. The family members rushed to the temple and noticed that his vehicle was not found outside. So they went to his farm and when he was not there, they thought he might have left the village on some work outside.

When they continued the search on Tuesday morning, they found the body of the priest in a pool of blood in the temple premises and immediately informed the police who registered a case and are investigating.
