Priest suffers burn injuries in fire accident at Nakrekal temple

Dikshit Abhishek, a priest from Uttar Pradesh, had been serving at the temple for some time. In preparation for the Karthika Pournami celebrations, he was cleaning the temple's sanctum sanctorum with a chemical cleaner.

Nalgonda: A priest suffered minor burns in a fire accident in a temple at Nakrekal in Nalgonda district on Thursday.

Dikshit Abhishek, a priest from Uttar Pradesh, was working at the temple for some time. Ahead of the Karthika Pournami celebrations, he was cleaning the temple’s sanctum sanctorum with a chemical cleaner.


His dhoti caught fire in the process and he suffered burn injuries. He was admitted to a private nursing home in Nakrekal for treatment.
