Private colleges reschedule protest over fee reimbursement dues to November 15
The Federation of Associations of Higher Institutions (FATHI) has postponed its protest involving 10 lakh students to November 15 over pending fee reimbursement dues. The private colleges are demanding that the State clear Rs 5,000 crore out of Rs 10,000 crore dues

Hyderabad: The private professional, degree and PG colleges have rescheduled their protest meeting, involving 10 lakh students, over the fee reimbursement dues issue to November 15. Earlier, the meeting was scheduled for November 11.
The Federation of Associations of Higher Institutions (FATHI), comprising private professional, degree and PG colleges, said the venue and further details regarding the meeting would be communicated separately.
“All students of private affiliated colleges are requested to take note of this change and attend the meeting on the revised date to express their collective voice on issues concerning the future of higher education in Telangana,” the FATHI said.
Meanwhile, the FATHI will hold a State-level meeting of private affiliated colleges’ faculty and staff at LB Stadium here on November 8. It urged all teaching and non-teaching staff to participate in large numbers.
The private colleges have been demanding that the State government clear their Rs 5,000 crore out of Rs 10,000 crore fee reimbursement dues, which have been pending for the last five years.
