Hyderabad: A private school owner from Rajendranagar, who was reportedly facing severe financial difficulties, died by suicide.
The victim, Rajender Reddy, a native of Mahabubnagar, was residing with his wife and two children in Lakewood Villas, Bandlaguda Jagir. He was running a private school in Mahabubnagar and had reportedly suffered financial losses after investing in various business ventures, according to Inspector Muthu Yadav.
While his wife and children had gone to stay with relatives during the summer holidays, Rajender Reddy was alone at home. On Saturday, he sent a text message to his wife saying, “Sorry, I am leaving. Please forgive me.”
When she tried to contact him, he did not answer. Concerned, she informed neighbours, who broke open the door and found him unconscious after allegedly consuming an unknown poisonous substance.
He was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital, where he died under treatment on Sunday night.
