Hyderabad: National Award-winning actor Priyamani of ‘The Family Man’ fame has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Shah Rukh Khan’s new film with Tamil cinema’s leading director Atlee.
The two stars previously came along to shake a leg to the then hit special number ‘1 2 3 4 Get on the Dance Floor’ in Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Chennai Express’.
According to reports, the first schedule of the film commenced in Pune with Nayanthara, Priyamani, and Shah Rukh Khan yesterday.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, sources say that Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra will also be seen playing pivotal characters in the upcoming film.
However, details about the film are still under wraps but according to rumours, Shah Rukh Khan is said to be playing an Army officer in the film.
There is a buzz that Atlee is remaking his popular blockbuster Tamil film in Hindi. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
Priyamani was last seen in the series ‘The Family Man’ along with Manoj Bajpayee. The actor was seen playing a complaining wife of an NIA agent who is mostly occupied with work. The series is streaming on Amazon Prime.
