Kickstarting her career as a model, Bengali-born Priyanka De is trying her luck at acting. She is currently playing a role in the upcoming Nani starrer Shyam Singha Roy.
“It’s a historical movie, I’m playing a small role and most of my sequences are with actor Nani Garu. I’m so fortunate to work with such a big star in Telugu. It will launch my acting career in Telugu. It’s a historical drama, I thank the director Rahul Sankrityan and the producer for casting me in it,” says the model turned actor who has another offer in hand in the upcoming movie Koteswara Rao Gari Kodukulu in which Priyanka is playing the lead role.
Naveen Yerneni is directing the movie. Earlier, she played the daughter of the main protagonist in the Bengali movie Mahalaya which was directed by Soumik Sen.
Apart from being featured in various commercials, Priyanka had recently endorsed a jewelry store in Kerala.
