Hyderabad: Procter & Gamble contributed Rs 5 crore to the State authorities towards vaccination of citizens in Telangana. This donation is in line with P&G’s pledge to contribute 10 lakh vaccine doses in the country.
Under its #PGSurakshaIndia programme, the company will also continue to extend its support to the broader community in Telangana through donation of products, in-house manufactured masks and sanitisers especially to aid frontline and essential workers who are working to combat the spread of Covid-19.
Sachin Sharma, Plant Head–Hyderabad, P&G India said, “We recognise the urgent need to come together as one in our fight against the pandemic. In the current situation and going forward, vaccines play a critical role in containing the spread of the virus. We strongly believe that partnering with government and local authorities, who are leading the inoculation initiatives for citizens will enable us to make a meaningful difference to the communities we operate in.”
P&G also partnered with the government and industries to kickstart an initiative called ‘Suraksha Circles’ to lay down the standards of hygiene and safety at manufacturing facilities in Telangana.
