Hyderabad: Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Maharashtra, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. The appointment is for a period of five years.
“In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Statutes of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, the President of India in his capacity as the Visitor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University has been pleased to appoint Prof. Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Maharastra as the Vice Chancellor of the Jawaharlal Nehru University for a period of five years from the date on which she enters upon her office,” reads a letter sent by the Department of Higher Education to the JNU registrar.
