Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University seeks ICRISAT’s support

Aims to enhance production of oilseeds, pulses and millet crops in Telangana

Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) Vice Chancellor sought ICRISAT’s technical support to enhance the production of oilseeds, pulses, and millet crops in Telangana.

He made this pitch with Dr Himanshu Pathak, DG ICAR, New Delhi and DG designate of ICRISAT, Hyderabad, on Wednesday.

During a meeting, Prof Janaiah congratulated Dr Pathak on his new role and requested him to strengthen the partnership between ICRISAT and the PJTAU. Dr Pathak responded positively and assured his support for the development of agriculture in the State.

Both Janaiah and Dr Pathak recalled their past experiences of working together as batch mates at ICAR and as fellow scientists at the International Rice Research Institute in Philippines.
