Closing of all gates of Nagarjuna Sagar Project Friday evening led to significant fall in inflow to Pulichintala project and helped the efforts of engineers to reduce the water level in it. It has facilitated the engineers to take up fixing of stoplog elements in place of washed away gate.
According to a bulletin released at 9 am, inflow into Pulichintala Project was recorded at 15,498 cusecs and outflow at 58,356 cusecs.
Chinthalapalem witnessed mild tremors
Meanwhile, villages of Chinthalapalem mandal in the district experienced mild tremors for five seconds on Friday night, which created panic in the people of the area.
