Hyderabad: The complete shape of the drinking supply and sewerage management networks in the Hyderabad Urban Agglomeration (HUA) limits is all set to change, with the State government initiating eight projects at a staggering cost of Rs 7,528.21 crore.

Post completion, they will ensure adequate water supply to 190 villages situated beyond Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits and within the ORR area, Singur, Kollur 2BHK Housing Society, Kokapet Township and their surrounding areas.

A 1,800 mm pipeline is being laid along ORR and Godavari water is being diverted to Manjira. Apart from developing infrastructure to increase water supply, 31 STPs near Musi with Rs 3,866.21 crore will be built. They would be established in addition to the existing 25 plants.
