Hyderabad: The Telangana State Multiple Contractors’ Labour Union, affiliated to INTUC, on Tuesday requested the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) to introduce a promotion policy for the benefit of long-serving contract workers of NTPC-Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Station in the State.
In a letter, labour union general secretary Devasani Bikishapathi urged the NTPC management to provide due promotions and salaries as per the cadre for all types of contract workers with more than five years of service.
He also sought the NTPC management to examine the feasibility of providing a share in the monetary benefits to these contract workers besides other welfare benefits. He also took up various pending issues of the NTPC contract workers with the management.
