Hyderabad: A property offender involved in a theft case was arrested by the Nampally police on Thursday. The police recovered 3.5 kilograms of silver and a mobile phone from him. The arrested person was M Srinivasulu (45), a footpath dweller.
According to the police, Ch Srinivas, an ornament maker from Jangaon, had come to the Muthalamma temple at Bazaarghat to take measurements of ornaments on Tuesday. “Due to the lockdown, he slept in his car, in which he had kept a bag with silver,” said Khaleel Pasha, SHO (Nampally). Srinivasulu saw this and stole the silver ornaments. Following a complaint, the police nabbed Srinivasulu, who confessed to committing the crime. He was previously involved in another property offence case registered by the Abid Road police.
