Hyderabad: A property offender who was involved in seven property offences was arrested by the Rachakonda police on Tuesday. The police recovered 10 tolas of gold ornaments, a laptop and Rs.15,000 from him.
The arrested person identified as Kattela Anoop Kumar (27), a car driver from Gayatrinagar in Meerpet, would move around in the localities during the day time and identify houses which were locked. “In the night, Anoop Kumar would sneak into the houses after damaging the door lock or latches and gain access to the bedroom and living room and decamp with property kept in safes or cupboards,” said Mahesh M Bhagwat, Rachakonda Police Commissioner.
The suspect was previously involved in 37 cases in various police stations in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and other districts. He was detained under PD Act once by the police but it failed to deter him from resuming his activities once out of jail.
