Property offender involved in 270 cases held with Meth, LSD in Shamshabad

Shamshabad police arrested three persons, including a man reportedly involved in around 270 property offence cases, in a drug peddling case. They seized 80 grams of Meth, four LSD blots and four mobile phones, while two suspects remain absconding.

Hyderabad: A notorious property offender, Syed Sayeed Hussain alias Lamba Hussain, who is involved in around 270 property offence cases, was arrested along with two others in a drug peddling case in Shamshabad. The police seized 80 grams of methamphetamine (Meth), four LSD blots and four mobile phones from the trio. Two other suspects are absconding.

Sayeed Hussain (38), a driver and resident of Nawab Sahab Kunta, Mohammed Imran alias Shukur (32), a car driver, and Rahmanuddin alias Lala (29), a Zepto delivery executive, were caught near the HMDA Nursery on Sampath Nagar Road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, Hussain was allegedly procuring Meth and ganja from Jamshed, a main peddler based in Bengaluru, through Imran and Rahmanuddin. The trio would allegedly sell the drugs to local consumers and a sub-peddler, Syed Zohair Mehdi, at higher prices.

The police seized 60 grams of Meth from Hussain and another 20 grams from Imran and Rahmanuddin. Four LSD blots were also seized during the operation.

The police said the trio was caught while exchanging the Meth procured from Bengaluru for sale to local drug peddlers. Imran has previously been involved in three NDPS cases, while Hussain is reportedly involved in more than 270 property offence cases. Jamshed and Syed Zohair Mehdi are absconding.

A case was registered under Section 8(c) read with Sections 22(b) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act. Police are investigating the source of the drugs. The police identified over a dozen customers who are residents of the Old City.
