Hyderabad: A property offender involved in several offences was arrested on Monday. The police recovered seven mobile phones and a motorcycle from him.
The arrested person, Syed Mudassir alias Bipasha (21) of Dabeerpura, was involved in eight cases of snatching of mobile phones in Saidabad, Saroornagar, Malakpet, Madannapet, Rein Bazaar, Santoshnagar and Kachiguda Railway police station limits. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said Mudassir moved around on his motorcycle on isolated roads and after identifying a pedestrian speaking over phone, would snatch it.
Last Wednesday, he snatched a mobile phone from G Narender (43) when he was walking on the Mumtaz college road stretch in Malakpet around 7 am. On a complaint, the police booked a case and formed a special team, which after identifying the suspect, nabbed him. He was earlier involved in four cases in the city and was arrested then. After coming out of jail, he resumed his activities.
