Siddipet: Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy on Saturday raised objections when officials invited Congress leader Cheruku Srinivas Reddy onto the dais during various official meetings organised by the Siddipet and Medak district administrations in the Dubbak assembly constituency.
Endowments Minister Konda Surekha arrived at Akberpet-Bhumpally mandal headquarters to inaugurate the primary health centre.
Srinivas Reddy, who had lost the recent assembly elections, also sat in the first row on the stage, which was when Prabhakar Reddy objected.
The BRS cadre, who attended the meeting, also raised their voice against this. Following this, Surekha suggested that Srinivas Reddy sit in the second row.
Earlier, the Minister distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries in Chegunta where Srinivas Reddy occupied a seat to which the BRS leader had objected to.
Prabhakar Reddy said officials must follow protocol guidelines at the village, mandal, and district levels by inviting only elected representatives onto the dais.
Another row erupted as Dubbak Inspector slapped a BRS worker while he was showing the way to Prabhakar Reddy’s vehicle. Reddy got out of the vehicle and questioned the inspector for his unruly behavior.
He asked what mistake the BRS worker had made.
