Warangal: Mandala Parashuramulu, former chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) of erstwhile Warangal district, has appreciated the Child Welfare department and NGOs for its service rendered to HIV / AIDS children over the last several years. He, however, urged the NGOs and the government to take steps for further benefits for the children. A meeting of district-level officials and NGO representatives was held here on Tuesday.

“It is a great thing to distribute nutritional supplies to these children once in two months and support education keeping in view of their health. On behalf of the government, we will address any issues faced by them,” Warangal District Welfare Officer Sharada. Lodi Director Fr Vijayapal Reddy said that they would continue to work to provide nutrition, education and medical care for children, and urged children suffering from AIDS to follow ART medications regularly. He also urged the authorities to take immediate action to ensure that all eligible children receive pensions from the government. MGM Hospital ART Centre head Dr Surya Prakash, Childline officer Iqbal Pasha and others attended the meeting.
