Siddipet: Former MLC and founder of PRTU-Telangana Pathuri Sudhakar Reddy urged the State government to carry out the exercise of the promotions and appointments to district wise posts according to the new districts.
In a representation submitted to Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Thursday in Siddipet, the PRTU founder appealed to the government to follow the President’s new order in promotions and in taking up new district wise recruitment. “Teachers and employees should be given the opportunity to go to their local districts by taking options depending on their local status or nativity” he said.
The leaders of the PRTU Telangana led by General Secretary M Chennayya, State Official Spokesperson Dr Parvathi Satyanarayana appealed to the Finance Minister to take up promotions and direct recruitment of government teachers and employees as per the local cadre under para (3) of the Presidential Orders.
The Minister, who went through the representation, responded positively and promised to take immediate steps to expedite the process. He also assured them that he would take up the transfers and promotions of teachers. Harish Rao asked the PRTU leaders to keep faith in Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. They also demanded that the government cover teachers recruited through DSC-2003 under the old pension scheme.
