Visakhapatnam: A human chain will be formed on Sunday over a ten kilometre stretch from Aganampudi to BHEL in the industrial area to protest the decision of the Centre to privatise the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
Chairman of the joint action committee for protection of Visakhapatnam steel plant, M. Jaggunaidu, said here on Saturday that the Centre remained unmoved despite the protests in the city for the past 200 days. “The Centre is favouring corporate managements instead of being people-friendly. We strongly condemn the anti-people and anti-labour policies of the government,” he stated.
He said that thousands of people are expected to take part in the human chain would be formed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday to raise the voice against the BJP government at the Centre.
