You must have seen women wearing salwar suits and exercising with a lot of comfort, but this woman from Pune sets a new mark – workout in a sari.
Meet Dr Sharvari Inamdar who has gone viral on social media after she performed weight training exercises and push-ups in a sari.
In an interview with a leading daily, Sharvari stated she wants to break the barrier with the attire. “Frankly speaking, women do not wear sarees every day. It is not comfortable for everyone to wear a saree. But as an Indian woman, when we celebrate, we purposefully celebrate it with traditional Indian wear. So, that is why I am celebrating womanhood,” she shares as quoted by a source.
Sharvari, who has mastered push-ups, pull-ups and weight training as well after training rigorously for five years, encourages women to include weight training in their fitness schedule.
