Hyderabad: When it comes to generosity, soul and sheer love on a plate, Punjabi food stands in a class of its own. Gingerfire is set to come alive with the smoky aromas of the tandoor, the warmth of simmering dals, and the bold flavours of Punjab’s most beloved dishes.

From April 24 to May 10, 2026, the restaurant will host an exclusive Punjabi culinary showcase helmed by Chef VP Singh, bringing the heart and soul of Punjabi cooking to the city. The restaurant will transform into a Punjabi pind, complete with rustic décor, handcrafted centrepieces, a live dhol welcome, and an atmosphere as warm and generous as the food itself.

Sarson da saag, arguably the region’s most iconic dish, is slow-cooked and finished with ghee, paired with makki di roti. Dal makhani is simmered overnight until thick and indulgent, finished with butter and cream. Butter chicken is prepared from scratch with a richly spiced tomato and cream base.

Amritsari and Pindi chole, two of Punjab’s most loved preparations—are served alongside golden, puffed bhature. Rajma masala rounds off the menu with a thick, well-spiced onion-tomato gravy appealing to a wide range of palates.

The tandoor anchors the non-vegetarian offerings, turning out kebabs and grills over a live fire. Guests can pair their meals with a curated selection of Punjabi-inspired cocktails and mocktails designed to complement the bold flavours.

Chef Singh, from the House of Chef Sucha Singh & Sons and the culinary force behind Amritsar’s Kulcha Land, brings a philosophy rooted in nostalgia, seasonal warmth, and authenticity. He has showcased his craft at high-profile events across India, Dubai, and Bali.

Whether seeking nostalgia or exploring Punjabi cuisine for the first time, diners can expect a memorable culinary experience.
