Hyderabad: An ardent Telugu fan bumped into director Puri Jagannadh at a traffic signal in Mumbai, when the latter was heading to the shooting spot of his upcoming film ‘Liger’. In the video, Puri, who is seen lending an ear to the boy, is equally thrilled to meet a fan who admires him and his movies.
On his way, the boy, apparently in his teens, spotted Puri’s car from a distance bearing a TS number plate in the busy Mumbai traffic. He approached it thinking that someone from Telugu State must have been travelling in it. He immediately started a conversation with Puri through the window. However, the short conversation ended abruptly as traffic lights turned green and the boy shook hands with his favourite director. The excitement of the teenager was short-lived as he is seen shaking his head in dismay as he didn’t have a phone to take a selfie.
Puri’s companion and business partner, Charmme Kaur captured the video from the car and shared it on her Twitter handle. “This cute kid came across #purijagannadh in mumbai traffic signal .. was mesmerised seeing him ,this post is specially for Pramod , because he mentioned he wanted a selfie but unfortunately didn’t have a phone ..@PuriConnects(sic).”
‘Liger’ is one of the much-anticipated movies from Puri Jagannadh. Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, the movie also has American former professional boxer Mike Tyson. Ramya Krishna will be seen in a key role.
