Khammam: Former Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar has called upon party cadres to gear up and work hard to ensure the victory of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidate in the upcoming Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates’ Constituency MLC election.
Speaking at a party coordination meeting held here on Thursday along with MLC Takkellapalli Ravinder Rao, the former Minister noted that there were around 28,500 votes in the Khammam Assembly constituency.
He said responsibilities have been assigned to 325 additional coordinators, with one coordinator appointed for every 100 votes. He urged the cadres to visit every household and collect details of eligible graduates.
Ajay Kumar noted that the voter enrollment process was being intensified by setting up special enrollment camps across various divisions under Khammam Municipal Corporation and he would personally participate in these activities over the coming month.
The cadres were asked to identify and personally meet teachers and lecturers from private schools and colleges, doctors, lawyers, banking sector employees and private sector employees who graduated at least three years ago, in order to register them as voters.
Ajay Kumar recalled that during the party leader Palla Rajeshwar Reddy’s MLC election in the past, the united Khammam district and the Khammam constituency in particular played a pivotal role in his victory by registering the highest number of graduate votes.
He stated that the Graduates’ MLC elections would serve as a precursor to the upcoming corporation and local body elections and hoped that a BRS victory in this contest would herald a new political trend in the state.
Senior leaders RJC Krishna, Bachu Vijay Kumar, Pagadala Nagaraju, MA Qamar, Karnati Krishna, Shaik Maqbool, Seelamsetti Veerabhadram, Nagandla Koteswara Rao, Jyothi Reddy, and Palla Roselina were present.
