The Minister along with local corporators went around on a motorcycle and visited the residences of around 39 beneficiaries in over 25 municipal divisions. Instead of organising a meeting for mass distribution of the cheques, he distributed at the doorsteps of beneficiaries following Covid norms.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar said the beneficiary families would greatly be indebted to the Telangana government and Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao for standing by them and releasing the cheques without any hindrance even during the Covid crisis.

No family should be troubled because of the delay in receiving the cheques hence the programme was taken up. The welfare and progress of poorer sections was only possible with the TRS government, he said.

The State government was implementing Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes to bring happiness in the lives of the poor families. No other State in the country was implementing such schemes, the minister said.

In addition to that double bedroom houses programme, Aasara pensions and other schemes were also being implemented for women’s empowerment and to help the poorer sections. Telangana government has become a model in the country for implementing welfare schemes, Ajay Kumar noted.

Despite the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus outbreak the implementation of welfare schemes have been continued in the state without any hindrance because of the Chief Minister’s concern towards the poorer sections, he added.

Corporator Karnati Krishna, Kamartapu Murali and others were present.
