Hyderabad: Former world champion and double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu returned home after being stranded in war-hit Dubai.

Sindhu was stuck in Dubai en route to the United Kingdom to take part in the All England Championship which started today. She apparently missed the tournament and returned home on Tuesday morning along with her team.

“Back home in Bengaluru and safe. The last few days have been intense and uncertain, but I am truly grateful to be back,” Sindhu posted on her social media handle X.

“A heartfelt thank you to the incredible ground teams, Dubai authorities, airport staff, immigration and every single person who stepped up and took such good care of us during a very difficult time,” she said.

“The empathy and professionalism meant more than words can say. For now, it is time to rest, reset and figure out the next steps,” Sindhu said.
