Hyderabad: World champion PV Sindhu clarified that all is well and she flew to London with due consent of parents. Reacting to a report that said Sindhu had a rift with her parents, she said is in London to work on her nutrition and recovery needs.

Sindhu further said she is with sports nutritionist Rebecca Randell of the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) in London. PV Ramana said during their recent All England trip they had met Randell who suggested a long session with her.

Sindhu in a long tweet said: “I came to London a few days back to work on my nutrition and recovery needs with GSSI. In fact I have come here with the consent of my parents and absolutely they (sic) were no family rifts in this regard.”

“Why will I have problems/issues with my parents who have sacrificed their lives for my sake? Mine is a very close knitted family and they will always support me. I am in touch with my family members everyday.”

Sindhu stated that she is getting ready for the Asia leg of Badminton World Federation’s calendar, scheduled in January next year. She preferred to skip the National camp in Hyderabad and will now train with the England team.

Meanwhile Ramana reasoned that since there was no proper camp in Hyderabad she had to take this decision. She recently skipped the Denmark Open and instead went to London where she is there since ten days.
