Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday said QpiAI, a quantum computing company, will partner with the state in its Quantum Valley endeavour.

QpiAI has come forward to set up an eight qubit quantum computer in Amaravati, which will host the southern state’s Quantum Valley as part of the National Quantum Mission, an official release said.

QpiAI founder Nagendra Nagaraja on Thursday met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who called on him to work on solutions which would help people and enable students to do research.

Further, the CM also requested Nagaraja to establish a centre of excellence, which would further startups, quantum algorithms and the creation of other applications.

“QpiAI is going to partner with the state government’s prestigious Quantum Valley in Amaravati. As part of this, QpiAI came forward to set up an advanced eight qubit quantum computer,” the release said.

The TDP supremo wished for quantum computing to emerge useful in various fields, such as agriculture, making better use of water resources, innovation, deep tech and others, the release added.
