Quthbullapur gets new infra facilities

KTR inaugurates urban forest park, sports park and multi-purpose function hall

Hyderabad: Residents of the Quthbullapur constituency now have three new and major facilities to boast about.

Taking the State government initiatives to propel infrastructure development across the city, into Qutbullahpur, the Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday inaugurated an urban forest park, sports park and a multi-purpose function hall. He was accompanied by Labour Minister Malla Reddy and Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy. Pranavayu Urban Forest Park has been developed with an estimated cost of Rs 1,137.80 lakh and it has a forest cluster of 450 hectares and a visitors zone spread over 90 acres. An aesthetically developed visitors zone falls in two GHMC wards – Gajularamaram (60 acre) and Suraram (30 acres). In addition to lush greenery, the park also has a walking and cycling track, Yoga shed, children’s play area, two open classrooms and gazebos.


The other facility – the Sports Theme Park in TSIIC Colony has been built with an estimated cost of Rs 198.50 lakh and has a Basketball court, Volleyball court, Shuttle court, cycling track, walking track and a cricket ground among other facilities. Meanwhile, the multipurpose function hall in Bhagat Singh Nagar, Chintal has been constructed with Rs 333.65 lakh.

Besides the three Ministers, Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekanand, MLC Shambipur Raju, Mayor G Vijayalaxmi, Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy and others participated in the inaugural function.
