Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Special Operations Team nabbed a three-member inter-State burglary gang and seized cash, gold, bikes and other material, all together worth Rs 17 lakh here on Thursday. The suspects were involved in cases in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, police said.
The arrested persons were Shaik Waseem (22), a driver from Nizamabad, Shaik Ameer (22), a mechanic from Adilabad and native of Maharashtra and Shaik Feroz (21), a mason from Kanchanbagh. They were involved in three burglaries in Meerpet since July, police said, adding that following three burglaries, the SOT took up investigation and collected footage from surveillance cameras at the crime spots and identified the suspects. Based on clues, the gang was arrested from the house of Shaik Feroz in Baba Nagar in Kanchanbagh.
