Rachakonda CP heaps praise on orphanage for rescuing mentally unsound

Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat with mentally unstable people who were rescued from the streets in the city in cold and rainy weather.

Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat on Tuesday appreciated the management of Matrudevobhava Anadha Ashram, an orphanage for rescuing six mentally unstable persons from the streets in the cold and rainy weather.

Bhagwat, who felicitated its founder Gattu Giri at the orphanage for rescuing the homeless during the heavy rains and said the police would try to reunite them with their families. The six persons, reportedly mentally unstable, were found at Neredmet, ECIL and Uppal. They were shifted to the orphanage at Nadargul village in Badangpet. Bhagwat also handed over face masks for the orphanage.
