Rachakonda CP Sudheer Babu calls for eradication of child labour
The child labour system has become a disease in society and opined it is destroying the childhood of many innocent children, says the Commissioner of Police
Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu called for the eradication of the child labour system, which has an adverse effect on the childhood of children, who otherwise should be happily studying and playing.
Speaking at the convergence meeting of ‘Operation Smile-XI’ on Friday, the commissioner stated that the child labour system has become a disease in society and opined it is destroying the childhood of many innocent children.
“The root cause of child labour is mainly due to the poverty of the parents and the children are forced into begging and lose their future. There is a possibility that these children sometimes become juvenile criminals and also anti-social forces use them for committing crimes,” Sudheer Babu said.
The commissioner reiterated that stringent measures were being taken to eliminate human trafficking and child labour from Rachakonda. “We are acting harshly on human trafficking and rescued several children until now. Cases have been booked on the traffickers too,” the CP added.
