Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M.Bhagwat on Saturday placed two police constables under suspension on charges of indulging in corrupt practices.
Based on a report from K Narayana Reddy, DCP (Bhongir), the two constables, R. Chandra Shekar and K. Lingaswamy of Chotuppal police station, were suspended for demanding money from a citizen and indulging in corruption. Following a complaint, the DCP conducted an enquiry into the allegations and submitted a report to the Commissioner.
Bhagwat urged citizens to lodge complaints via WhatsApp number 94906 17111 if they came across police personnel resorting to corrupt practices.
