Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat along with other police officials and volunteers took up plantation of saplings at Pahadishareef police station on Wednesday.
He said around 2,000 saplings would be planted in various areas falling in the Pahadishareef police station limits as part of the State government’s Haritha Haram programme.
GHMC zonal commissioner Upender Reddy, DCP (LB Nagar) Sunpreet Singh and other officials participated.
Rachakonda CP inspects Saroornagar Lake
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat inspected the Saroornagar Lake on Wednesday in view of the forthcoming Ganesh festival.
The Commissioner went around the bund of the lake and reviewed the spots where cranes were to be installed for immersion of the Ganesh idols. He asked officials to ensure that the lake was thoroughly cleaned and the approach roads leading to the Saroornagar tank were repaired. He also asked officials to ensure that surveillance cameras are installed around the lake at the earliest to facilitate round the clock monitoring of the activity there.
Sunpreet Singh, DCP (LB Nagar) and other officials were present.
