Rachakonda CP urges public to follow Covid precautions

Hyderabad: In the wake of the spike in Covid-19 infections, Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat emphasised the need for strictly adhering wearing face mask and maintaining social distancing.
Speaking at an awareness programme organised by the Rachakonda Police at Mallapur in Nacharam here on Saturday, he said, “As coronavirus is spreading, the State government has recently released an order making it mandatory for everyone to wear a mask, as a matter of duty. I urge people to stay away from the crowds, frequently sanitise hands and follow guidelines to prevent the virus from reaching our doorsteps.”
The Commissioner requested citizens to adhere to SMS (Sanitiser, Mask, Social distance) even after being vaccinated. He further warned those not wearing masks would face prosecution and a fine of Rs 1,000 would be imposed.
The consequences of not taking precautions were presented in the form of a street play by the cultural group.
