Rachakonda Police launch Haritha Haram at Commissionerate
As part of the programme, the plantation of saplings is being taken up on 56 acres at Rachakonda Commissionerate at Medipally

Hyderabad: On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Rachakonda Commissionerate, Police Commissioner Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, along with Labour Minister Ch Malla Reddy and other officials inaugurated the Haritha Haram programme on Thursday.
As part of the programme, the plantation of saplings is being taken up on 56 acres at Rachakonda Commissionerate at Medipally with around 200 saplings planted on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Malla Reddy said the State government is taking up the prestigious Haritha Haram programme across Telangana. “On the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, 73 lakh saplings will be planted during the Haritha Haram across Telangana. Last year, around 1 crore saplings were planted as against the target of 63 lakh,” he said.
Mahesh Bhagwat, said the Rachakonda Police are extending total support to the Haritha Haram programme. “Miyawaki plantation is being taken up on seven acres in Yadadri Bhongir which is allotted to the Rachakonda Police,” he said.
