Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Special Operations Team along with the LB Nagar police nabbed two persons from Maharashtra on charges of illegal possession of firearms and live rounds here on Friday. Police seized two country-made pistols and five live rounds from them.
The arrested persons were Nandakishore alias Manoj (23) and Rohan Rajeev Chandaliya (24) from Pune in Maharashtra. Another suspect Kiran Shivaji Khawale (24) was absconding.
According to G.Sudheer Babu, Joint Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, the two were earlier associated with a gang called ‘Raavan Saamrajya’ in Pune and committed offences including attacks on rival gangs. They were earlier arrested and jailed too. “Since they had life threats from rival gangs, about four months ago, they purchased two countrymade pistols from a dealer in Uttar Pradesh with the help of their mutual friend Kiran Shivaji for Rs 15,000 each,” Sudheer Babu said.
They came to Hyderabad on Thursday night by train in order to hide here till things returned to normal back home. However, they were caught while moving suspiciously near the Ranga Reddy district court in LB Nagar and the firearms and ammunition were seized from them.
