Siddipet: Government Hospital Siddipet will soon have the Radiology Hub which will have equipment for conducting free tests of X-Ray, Ultra Sound, ECG, 2-D Echo, and Mammogram. The government Hospital was already having Diagnostic Hub. As Health and Finance Minister T Harish Rao came to know that many poor people were spending huge amounts on Radiology department tests, he has decided to set up such Hub on the premises of Government Hospital with the sole objective of saving money for poor people on their health.
The Siddipet Hospital was already having a Diagnostic Hub where the staff was conducting 59 different tests free of cost. The Diagnostic hub is conducting tests for a minimum of 1,000 people on average every day as the samples from across the government hospitals in the district were being collected and tested here. The Radiology Hub will also provide similar services to citizens of the district. The government hospital was already equipped with CT-Scan. The ultrasound scanning machine is a must to know the growth of a fetus growth. Until now, pregnant women were forced to visit private Diagnostic Centres for such tests.
The private Diagnostic Centres were conducting anywhere between Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 Mammogram tests, which the citizens of Siddipet can avail themselves of free of cost. The private diagnostic centers will be charging Rs 500 per X-Ray, Rs 600 per ultrasound, Rs 300 per ECG, Rs 1,500 2-D Echo which the citizens will get at free of cost from now onwards. Health Minister T Harish Rao has instructed the officials to provide machinery and facilities on par with Corporate Hospitals at the Diagnostic Centre.
The officials, who made all arrangements, said that the Health Minister will soon open the facility to the public. Siddipet district was having 33 Primary Health Centres, four community health centers, Government Hospital Siddipet, a medical college, and District Hospital located in Gajwel. People from across the district can avail these services at the Government Hospital Siddipet.
