Raghavendra, Sreenandan shine at Brilliant Trophy Chess

Basava Raghavendra of Bhavan’s School and Sreenandan Babu won the junior and the senior category titles respectively in the 229th Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament at Brilliant Grammar School

Hyderabad: Basava Raghavendra of Bhavan’s School (Sainikpuri) and Sreenandan Babu won the junior and the senior category titles respectively in the 229th Brilliant Trophy Chess Tournament at Brilliant Grammar School in Dilsukhnagar here on Sunday.

In the juniors category, Raghavendra scored six points from six rounds to clinch the title, with Sunke Yashik and Sathya Karthikeya finishing second and third respectively.
Seernandan won the open category title with 5.5 points from six rounds, while Pranavaditya and Sarath Kumar settled for second and third places with five points each.
