Rahul and Reventh centuries power Andhra to big win over J&K

S V Rahul and K Reventh Reddy struck centuries in a 219-run opening stand as Andhra defeated J&K by nine wickets in the BCCI Under-23 one-day championship at Baroda, chasing 285 with ease in 46.3 overs

Hyderabad: S V Rahul (103, 14×4, 1×6) and K Reventh Reddy (139 n.o., 15×4, 1×6) put on a 219-run stand for the first wicket to help Andhra record a thumping nine-wicket win against Jammu & Kashmir in the BCCI Under-23 one-day cricket championship at Baroda on Thursday.

Batting first, J&K scored 284 for eight in 50 overs. In reply, Andhra reached the target in the 47th over thanks to Rahul and Reventh’s impressive centuries.


The scores: At Baroda: J&K 284/8 in 50 overs (Basit Nazir 79, Arna Guptha 52, G Sumit 3/57) lost to Andhra 285/1 in 46.3 overs (S V Rahul 103, Reventh Reddy 139 n.o.).
