Amaravathi: In a shocking remark, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi, who recently made claims of “Vote Chori” (vote theft), has remained silent on electoral irregularities in Andhra Pradesh due to a Congress-TDP nexus.
He said Rahul Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu were in direct contact through Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on a hotline.
Responding to a question during a press conference in Tadepalli on Wednesday, Jagan said Revanth Reddy and the Congress high command maintained close ties with Chandrababu Naidu. He pointed out that AP Congress in-charge Manikam Thakur, who targets the opposition YSRCP, has not made a single comment regarding Chandrababu Naidu’s actions and the State government.
“Rahul Gandhi talks about issues in Karnataka and Maharashtra, but why not Andhra Pradesh? He talks about Vote Chori, but does not make any comment on Andhra where the vote percentage increased by twelve and a half between what was announced after polling and on counting day. How is this possible? What should I say about someone like Rahul Gandhi, who himself is not sincere about what he does?” he asked.
